Do all your packages include 2 photographers?

Yes, we find it is very important to shoot weddings with at least two photographers. This is to ensure your special day is captured in both a clean and creative manner. While one photographer is documenting your wedding in a photo-journalistic style, the other is able to capture (and sometimes wait for) beautiful and perfect moments. Having two photographers is what allows for the creativity you see in our work.

Do you edit all the photos?

Yes we do. Every image we deliver is post produced with our unique signature style of post-production. Every image you receive is edited to the same standard that you see in our portfolio. When you email us, you will be sent links to several online galleries of our couples. Browse these galleries to see how we shoot, what we shoot and how we edit.

Do you provide the raw files?

No we don’t. Raw, unedited files are an unfinished product. We only provide our clients with completely edited images.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No we do not. We process half a million images each year and eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. Our rigorous post production process involves the very tedious process of going through all the images we shoot and selecting only the best images for our clients.

How many images do you deliver?

Every wedding is different. The number of images can vary on the size of your wedding, the hours covered, and the number of events. On average, we deliver between 2000-2500 completely edited images to our clients.

What is your turnaround time?

We have a 90 day delivery guarantee. Though majority of our weddings are delivered between 6 to 8 weeks.

Do you offer albums?

Yes! We offer a variety of high quality albums. You can order albums directly from your online gallery and design them yourself! This way you get the album of your dreams at an affordable price. Don’t want to design your album? We offer an album design service too!

What equipment do you use?

We shoot with professional level Canon cameras and lenses. As gear junkies, we tend to upgrade our equipment as soon as Canon releases something new and exciting, so our weddings are shot with the best that Canon has to offer. Along with cameras, we shoot with a multitude of lighting equipment and accessories.

How do you back up images?

Every image we shoot is backed up in 4 different hard drives, local, offsite and in the cloud. So rest assured that your precious moments are kept safe and secure.

How long have you been shooting?

PhotoKitch was started in 2010 - the same year Justin Beiber released “Baby ft. Ludacris”. Yeah, its been that long!

Do you take photos of family and guests?

Weddings, at their core, are two families coming together to celebrate the beginning of a life long relationship. We understand how important family is to our clients, and ensure that we spend our time capturing the precious moments between our clients and their families. At PhotoKitch, we are responsible photographers first, artsy photographers second. So if you’re here because you love our art, just wait until you see how well we cover family!

Do you do any other type of photography (babies, lifestyle, etc)?

Yes! We do! One of our awesome photographers (Em) runs a sister company to PhotoKitch called LifeByPhotoKitch. Take a look at her instagram to see all the adorable babies and beautiful families she shoots!

What is the next step after we book you?

After the contract is signed, deposit paid, and the whole business-y part of this all done, it’s time for the fun to begin! We create a WhatsApp group with you where we are reachable all the time. We are here to answer any of your questions, give you tips and ideas, and help you with anything we can (photography related or otherwise!). We also use these groups to schedule creative consultations, itinerary checks, and other touch points between the time of signing and your wedding day!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

There seems to be a wedding boom, especially after Covid - so our seasons have been booking up quite fast. I expect things to return to normal soon. Generally, couple's book us anywhere between 6 to 18 months before their wedding.

Do you travel for weddings or engagement sessions?

We love to travel! If you’re having a destination wedding or thinking of traveling for your engagement session, contact us and we can discuss all the details.

How many weddings do you shoot each year?

As part of the boutique studio experience, we only shoot 25 weddings each year. This allows us to give our clients the care and attention they deserve. It also gives our team the freedom to be as creative as they can. And frankly, after 10 years of shooting weddings, it gives our knees some much needed rest!

We don’t know how to pose, how can you help with that?

This is the most common question we are asked! Take a look at our work - almost every one of those couples felt just as nervous about being professionally shot as you are. We don’t shoot models - we shoot everyday people like us. We tend to get nervous or be awkward at time, but we have strategies to help you feel comfortable. And if all else fails, vodka helps haha!

Will my lead photographer shoot everything?

Every member of our team is talented in their own way. Some are great at photo-journalism, others at storytelling. Weddings require a mix between different styles. This is why you’ll see your lead photographer take over some parts of the wedding, and the other members of the team take over the rest. It’s with this perfect balance of responsibilities that we give our clients our absolute best!

Do you shoot with a flash or other lighting equipment?

Yes, we do, though most of our work is primarily shot in natural light. This is to keep our images consistent with our organic and raw style. However, with indian wedding photography, you need to know your way around artificial lighting (flash and strobes) too. All of our photographers can adapt to whatever the situation requires.

What happens if we go over the hours allocated in my package?

We understand not everything goes as planned during a wedding. Our team is there to capture everything that you wish to have captured, regardless of how late it may happen. This way you can enjoy your wedding day without having to stress about hours and overtime. If there is any additional coverage, it will be charged at the rate specified in the contract.
